In celebration of Black history Month, the US Embassy hosted a reception for students of English Language Clubs from Abdou Moumouni University and the American Cultural Center on February 11, 2011.

The intimate setting of the Deputy Chief of Mission’s residence was the perfect backdrop for introducing the new faces of the embassy team and learning more about the unsung African American heroes who have made a great number of contributions the United States and the world.
