Certificate Award Ceremony

The American Cultural Center in collaboration with NGO ANED and the Access micro scholarship alumni association organized a certificate award ceremony held at the American Cultural Center. Thirty students were awarded English Access Scholarship to study English at the American Cultural Center for two years.

The ceremony was chaired by the Ambassador of the United States in Niger, Bisa Williams and the President of NGO ANED ( Association Nigerienne des Educateurs Pour le Developpement ).  The ministry of national education was represented by the Director of secondary education and regional educational authorities.

  Ambassador Bisa Williams spoke of the importance of such a program and the chance Niger has to be among the countries where such a program exists. Other speeches at the ceremony were those of the president of ANED, the director of secondary education, a representative of the students and a representative of the students’ parents.
