U.S. Ambassador Kathleen Stephens Hosts Children’s Day Event with Hines Ward for Korean Children from Multicultural Families

Ambassador Kathleen Stephens hosted a Children’s Day Reception at her residence together with visiting Korean-American star athlete Hines Ward at 3-5 p.m. on May 5, 2010.  Over 90 children from multicultural families from the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, the Rainbow Choir, and Seoul Bogwang Elementary School attended the program.  Ambassador Stephens, Hines Ward, and Minister for Gender, Equality, & Family Paik Hee Young delivered welcoming remarks.  During the program children enjoyed dance and singing performances, caricature drawing, face painting, origami, and balloon animals.  Other individuals who participated included National Assemblywoman Lee Eun Jae, Executive Director of the Poongsan Group Choi Hyung Tae, Cyber University President Kim Choong Soon, Insooni, and five Service Members from USFK.  For photos, please contact 02-397-4794.
