Online Appointment & Off-site Services

Appointment System for American Citizen Services

The Embassy is closed on U.S. and Korean holidays.

Important!
You must make an appointment online for all routine U.S. citizen services such as passport application services, request for Consular Report of Birth Abroad, notarial services and questions regarding federal benefits.

Exceptions to the routine consular services appointment requirement will be made on a case-by-case basis for emergency situations only.

Before making an appointment, please read this information carefully.

Please print out or write down your “Appointment  Password” when it appears on the Appointment Details page. You will need this password to make any appointment changes or cancellations.  You cannot retrieve the password after closing the Appointment Details page.

We encourage customers seeking eligible passport services to submit their applications to the Embassy via a courier and avoid a trip to the Embassy altogether – please see the attached website link for additional details regarding those services that are eligible for this courier service: Adding Additional Pages or Adult Passport Renewal

If you seek multiple services, you may just make one appointment. Each family member seeking a service related to passports or report of birth should make an individual appointment.  To receive an Affidavit of Eligibility for Marriage to get married in Korea or ask for help with Federal Benefits, please choose the option “Request notarial and other services not listed above” on the appointment page.

Once you make an appointment, please remember to print the Appointment Details page and bring it with you when you appear at the embassy. (Note: You will only be allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.)

If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours in advance so that we may be able to offer your appointment time to another applicant.  Please note that in order to cancel or make changes to your appointment, you must have the “Appointment Password” that appears on the Appointment Details page, which you should print out or record immediately after you make your appointment.

If you have trouble accessing the online appointment system, please contact us by email at SeoulinfoACS@state.gov.
