Message from the Ambassador
The United States and Portugal have been trading partners since Portugal became one of the first countries in the world to recognize our new nation. Those ties have grown stronger over the last two centuries as our commercial relationship has expanded from trade in agricultural products and wine to advanced renewable energy solutions and biomedical innovations. This page provides valuable resources for American investors and exporters interested in entering the Portuguese market or increasing their presence here, as well as information for Portuguese businesses looking to invest in the U.S. market. Promoting economic and commercial cooperation between our countries is one of the most important responsibilities of the Embassy, and we stand ready to assist you.
