Enterprise Systems and Decision Support Division
The Enterprise Systems and Decision Support Division (ESDSD) is a multi-disciplinary organization that provides technical and program/project leadership for Departmental Information Technology (IT) applications and systems. The Division works with federal and non-federal partners on the Development, Modernization, and Enhancement (DME), and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of inter-departmental/inter-governmental IT systems that support wildland fire business management, fire operations and program management activities and other decision support tools. Information and outputs from these systems provide leadership and management with the best available data and analysis to make informed decisions. The DSEA Division also works with the Department's Chief Information Officer and other federal partners to continue the development and implementation of the Wildland Fire Enterprise Architecture and Wildland Fire Blueprint to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of the fire management program information technologies.
Enterprise Systems and Decision Support Staff work on a variety of systems including:
Integrated Reporting of Wildland-fire Information (iRWIn)
National Fire Plan Operations and Reporting System (NFPORS)
Wildland Fire Decision Support System (WFDSS)
Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS)
