Minority Internships

U.S. Senator and Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Ranking Member, Pat Roberts, offers internships throughout the year in his Washington, DC Committee office. The internship program provides a unique opportunity for students to work closely with Senate staff, assist Senator Roberts as he represents Kansans, farmers and ranchers in Congress, and experience the federal government in action.

The Ranking Member seeks individuals with specific interests in agriculture policy. Though no specific major or program is necessary, a good academic record is required. Preference is given to students who have completed their junior year in college and are planning to return for their senior year. Interns in Washington, DC carry out responsibilities such as researching legislation, attending briefings and hearings, answering phones, and providing support to the Committee staff.
