The NFIRS User Services allow users to perform maintenance on their accounts.

Change Password Utility

Members of the NFIRS community who do not use the USFA Client Software may use the web-based Change Password Utility to change the password associated with their NFIRS User account. Users who access exclusively the Bulk Import Utility, Bulk Export Utility, and Summary Output Reports Tool are encouraged to use this utility regularly to establish a login to the NFIRS 5.0 On-line system and change their password.

FEMA/DHS guidelines for security require user accounts that have been inactive for 60 days to be automatically deativated. Using this Change Password Utility will establish a login to the NFIRS 5.0 On-line system.

Forms Based Incident Report (FBIR)

An incident FBIR is the equivalent of the paper forms of the modules. Members of the NFIRS community who do not use the USFA Client Software may use the web-based FBIR to generate an incident report for a single incident or multiple incidents saved in the NFIRS National Database. An FBIR may be generated only for incidents at or below the user's group assignment.
