Tripler Army Medical Center, or TAMC, provides medical care for active and retired military personnel and their eligible family members on Oahu. TAMC offers a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, such as internal medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, psychiatry, OB-GYN, mental health, diet and nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, optometry, audiology, podiatry, and community and occupational health.

The Emergency Room at TAMC operates 24/7 for emergencies. In addition to their emergency service, there is a Department of Defense medical facility with an acute care clinic located at each of the major military installation on Oahu.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii-Kaneohe Bay, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Schofield Barracks each have an Acute Care Center available to see most minor emergencies. Because the Tripler emergency room (ER) is a referral center, they encourage all of their beneficiaries to utilize their Primary Care Manager (PCM) as their first means of medical care for non-urgent medical issues.

For routine or minor ailments, treatment should be sought by appointment through the Troop and Family Medical Care Clinic during normal operating hours.

Civilians

Are you a Department of the Army civilian in Hawaii? Your healthcare is covered by whichever company you chose when starting your job. Refer to your healthcare company's website for more information or clinic locations, or review your healthcare options on the Army Benefit's Center website.

Your Primary Care Manager (PCM) should be your first means of medical care for non-urgent medical issues.
