You have elected to use the Resume/Cover Letter application. This application provides two ways for you to create job search documents: the Resume Wizard and the Single-screen Option. The Wizard is a step-by-step, structured format that guides you through each element of your resume or cover letter. The Wizard “coaches” you through the basics of writing resumes and job search letters. The Wizard also allows you to rearrange resume content and modify formats to create additional versions of your resume. The Wizard is an excellent tool for first time writers who are not familiar with MS Word, etc., or who lack confidence with resume structure and formatting. Since your ACAP Counselors can see your resume as you create it, the Wizard also makes it easier for you to receive resume critiques and feedback.

Once you are confident with resume construction and can develop resume content without assistance, you can use the single-screen option to create resumes and letters on your own. The single-screen option lets you enter resume details easily and quickly. Because all resume components appear on a single page, you can enter information without navigating from one page to another.

Military Service Members must receive preseparation counseling and complete DD Form 2648 or DD 2648-1prior to using the Resume/Cover Letter Writer. You must register or already be registered with ACAP, the Army’s secured area of ACAP On-Line, in order to use Resume and Cover Letter Writers.
