Christiane Amanpour is a television news anchor and foreign correspondent who has spent her career working for the American news network Cable Network News and the American news program 60 Minutes. She is of British and Iranian descent and is a naturalized American citizen. She is famous for having covered stories in many conflict zones, including the Iran-Iraq War, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Persian Gulf War, the Bosnian War, and the Iraq War. She has interviewed famous figures including Tony Blair, Pervez Musharraf, Mohammad Khatami, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Muamar Ghaddafi, Hosni Mubarak and Yasser Arafat.
