The Executive Office (EXO)

The Executive Office provides administrative services to the USAID/Zambia mission, including procedural and regulatory guidance, human resource management, computer systems management, managing and maintaining security equipment, travel and transportation services, shipment and customs clearance, and procurement of goods and services.

Employment Opportunities

Working at USAID/Zambia is dynamic and interesting. As staffing needs arise, we seek the services of the most qualified Zambians, Americans, and third country national employees to fill positions. USAID/Zambia is firmly committed to the principles of equal opportunity and fair employment practices. This commitment is an integral part of our recruitment policies.

Employment opportunities at USAID/Zambia are posted here. In addition, local employment opportunities are advertised within the Embassy community, and in the local media (Times of Zambia, Zambia Daily Mail and Post newspapers). Opportunities for overseas staff (U.S. Personal Services Contractors and Third Country Nationals) are also posted on FEDBIZOPS.

USAID/Zambia does not accept applications unless they are in response to a specifically advertised position.

Auctions

Sales of used U.S. Government owned household furniture and furnishings, office furniture, and used vehicles are conducted occasionally, by public spot bid sale. The auctions are advertised in the local press. We encourage all interested parties to participate.

Procurement

USAID/Zambia procures services, supplies, and equipment needed to support mission operations. These include computer equipment, vehicles, household furniture, and expendable supplies. Services purchased include maintenance, waste disposal, training, and technology. Quotations from American, local, and international firms are welcome.
