Mentoring Pro Bono Program to support youth employment

The NGO Helsinki España Human Dimension organized a pro bono mentoring program last fall in collaboration with VIA-Círculo Jefferson (the Spanish International Visitor Leadership Program Association) and the U.S. Embassy. Through this initiative alumni from State Department exchange programs provide mentoring services to unemployed youth. Professionals from various fields offer their time and expertise to help young unemployed graduates in their job search. These experts assist youth with guidance on their careers and establish a medium to long term mentoring relationship to support them. In return, the young participants must volunteer by offering some of their time to a community service program conducted by Fesbal, the Spanish Food Banks Federation in Spain.
