Accreditation Resources

Is your school accredited?

The U.S. Department of State, through its EducationUSA offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, supports the provision of free-of-charge information about the more than 4,000 institutions of higher education in the United States. EducationUSA provides this unbiased, accurate information to interested individuals and institutions.

Before applying to study in the United States, prospective students must undertake "due diligence". That is, they must carefully investigate the schools they plan to attend and the educational programs they wish to pursue. The first and most important step in determining a school’s quality and legitimacy is to see whether or not it is accredited. This is easy to do.  Simply look at the following websites of the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.  These websites will explain what accreditation means and allow prospective students to check the status of their schools of choice.
