To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the U.S. Embassy will sponsor a performance of Polish composer Wojciech Kilar’s “September Symphony.”  Moved by the events of that tragic day, Kilar composed “September Symphony” as a tribute to those who lost their lives, including six Polish citizens.

The Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus  will perform under the conduction of Tadeusz Wojciechowski.  In addition to “September Symphony,” they will perform American composer Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.”  Ambassador Feinstein is an honorary patron of the concert.
