Army Spouse Employment Program (ASEP)
Army Spouse Employment Program (ASEP)

Army National Guard spouses now have access to the ASEP.  Approximately 70 percent of spouses now work outside the home.  Army National Guard members and their Families have unique challenges from organizing life around training weekends to dealing with deployment issues while geographically separated from Active Duty support resources on installations.  ASEP is a resource that gives spouses increased career options and flexibility.

The website, www.militaryspousejobsearch.org offers training, job search capabilities and additional resources to support successful job search and employment.

The ASEP website offers a job search capability by zip code, a very attractive tool for ARNG spouses that are geographically dispersed throughout the states and territories.  The Military Spouse Job webpage offers a wide variety of support to make your employment search successful (creating customized resumes and covers letters).

Veterans Expeditions at Outward Bound
Call 1-866-669-2362

Adventure and challenge, solitude, reflection, and renewal, the wilderness has always symbolized a new beginning - a place for discovery and fulfilling adventure. The Outward Bound program for Veterans provides an opportunity for camaraderie and has proven to be a powerful tool helping veterans readjust after leaving the combat zone.

Through generous funding by the Military Family Outdoor Initiative Project, a joint partnership of The Sierra Club and The Sierra Club Foundation, The Anschutz Family Foundation, and The Disabled American Veterans we are offering fully underwritten Outward Bound programs to Veterans. This is a tremendous opportunity for adventure and self-discovery to our veterans of combat operations in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom) and Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom). We have over 20 years serving our nation's combat veterans through a long partnership with the Disabled American Veterans organization, where we have offered enriching wilderness expeditions specifically designed for war veterans at no cost to the participants.

Our newest programs offer numerous wilderness adventures exclusively for war veterans, and are fully funded for all participants, to include their roundtrip stateside travel costs between home and the excursion site. Our goals include helping participating veterans build a supportive community with other war veterans; facilitating discussions on readjustment and transition challenges; and re-energizing and reinvigorating our veterans' spirits with adventures and challenges in the beautiful outdoors.

Who is Eligible: Under this program, all Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veterans, who were deployed to these countries, including current and former members of the Active and Reserve Components of the United States military. It doesn't matter what your current military status is (active, inactive, discharged, retired) as long as you deployed in support of OEF or OIF combat operations while in the military.

Phone Donations
Donate A Phone

It's simple and FREE! Every phone you donate will help increase the amount of talk time we're able to provide to our troops!

When donating your cell phone(s), please keep in mind:

You can help the charity even more by applying your own postage. If you pay for the postage, we can put more money toward calling cards for our troops!
Donated cell phones are sold to a company that recycles them. The money we receive from recycling cell phones is used to purchase calling cards that we send to troops in need.
Minimize weight and save on postage by mailing cell phones only. Batteries, chargers and accessories are not required but gladly accepted.
