Fifth Annual Warrior Resilience Conference

The fifth annual Warrior Resilience Conference (WRC-V) is scheduled to take place, pending approval, on April 24-25, 2013, at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. The title of this year’s conference is “Optimizing Physical and Psychological Resilience and Performance.” The purpose of the conference is to demonstrate and teach skills to line leaders and care providers, including both clinicians and chaplains, which can be used to improve physical and psychological resilience and performance, improve overall resilience and optimize operational performance. Because of our common goals of promoting psychological resilience and wellness to prevent, identify and intervene when there are combat and operational stress injuries, WRC-V will feature tracks from the Naval Center for Combat & Operational Stress Control (NCCOSC), Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV-N135) and Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). Continuing education credits will be offered for this conference.

Trauma Spectrum Conference - Canceled

The Trauma Spectrum Conference (TSC) will not be held this year. Although the TSC provides a unique opportunity for participants to gather information regarding the state-of-the-science in specific areas of psychological health conditions and traumatic brain injury, we regret we were not able to obtain the approval needed due to new stringent DoD conference approval policies. We are planning to hold the TSC in December 2013.
