Study Item Groups for Public Safety 700-MHz Demonstration Network
Participate in one or more of the study item groups formed for the public safety 700-MHz demonstration network PSCR is implementing. We are seeking communications vendors, 700-MHz waiver recipients, and active or retired public safety practitioners (police, firefighters, EMS, FBI, etc., and their command staff) with experience using wireless communications in their jobs.

A description of each study item group follows. Please contact Darcy Anton with access questions.
User Equipment Testing Group
Participate in the UE Testing Group to help determine UE test cases for UE deployments in the public safety 700-MHz demonstration network. The goal is to ensure that UE deployments meet performance and interference requirements identified by Federal, state, and local agencies. Specified test cases may be a mix of:
Test cases identified in 3GPP 36.5xx-series documents
PTCRB-identified test cases
New test cases conforming to unique conditions of the public safety 700-MHz demonstration network deployment environment

Network Identifiers Group
Participate in the Network Identifiers Group to help develop requirements for a single nationwide public safety 700-MHz PLMN, as well as test cases to evaluate such requirements, including:
Multiple jurisdictions with local control of infrastructure
Multiple regional redundant EPC data centers
Multiple eNodeB and EPC vendors
Network ID usage and deployment options, such as:
o How to integrate waiver recipient networks into a national network
o Definition of technical requirements and dependencies to determine/choose network identifiers for use by a governance organization

Network Performance Group
Participate in the Network Performance Group to help define basic and public-safety-specific 700-MHz (LTE) demonstration network requirements for:
KPI coverage
Use planning and implementation
Metrics and test strategy

Infrastructure Testing Group
Participate in the Infrastructure Testing Group to help define test processes, requirements, and specifications to cover minimum performance and conformance to LTE/3GPP specifications. The infrastructure testing group is also addressing the same issues related to interoperability of network infrastructure. Specifications will include requirements for both the EPC and the RAN.

Roaming and Clearing Group
Participate in the Roaming and Clearing Group to help:
Define standards, recommend architecture, and create test cases for possible LTE roaming scenarios applicable to the public safety 700-MHz demonstration network
Identify how data clearing services will be used across public safety networks and how financial clearing services could be used in a public safety network
Work closely with the Network Performance Group to determine parameters and network management processes required to maintain a QoS framework throughout the public safety network and across multiple agencies

UICC Group
Participate in the UICC Group to help define an initial set of parameters and requirements for the UICC including the USIM and ISIM software features. The initial framework will be based on the SIMalliance LTE specifications, OMADM and 3GPP specifications. The group will then work to investigate and develop public safety specific applications for security, identity, and mobility.
