As a part of an exchange project of the Multiple Scleroses Societies of Switzerland and the U.S., Ambassador Donald S. Beyer and Bern City President Alex Tschäppät received Swiss citizen Nicole Iten and U.S. citizen Jackie Blue, both suffering from multiple scleroses, at the Erlacherhof in Bern. The reception took place on International MS Day, May 25, and marked another important tie between the cities of Bern, Switzerland, and New Bern, North Carolina.

The project, which was organized by both MS-societies, the Swiss Embassy in the United States and partially financed by the U.S. Embassy in Bern, enabled the two women to visit each other’s country. The U.S. Embassy and Ambassador Beyer are proud to be partners in this project and wish Jackie Blue and Nicole Iten all the best in the future!
