Commanding Officer

Stephanie Wilcher
Commander, Dunham US Army Health Clinic

Colonel Stephanie C. Wilcher is a 1986 graduate of the Oregon Health Science University School of Nursing where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University, and is currently working toward a PH.D in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. She is scheduled to graduate from the U.S. Army War College in July 2011.

COL Wilcher’s military education includes the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Officer Advanced Course, CAS3, Instructor Training Course, and Command and General Staff College. She also completed the Medical Facilities Management, Joint Operations Medical Managers, Joint Healthcare Management, Joint Medical Executive Symposium, AMEDD Pre-Command, Homeland Security, and Interagency Courses.

COL Wilcher’s previous assignments include Clinical Nursing OIC at 28th Combat Support Hospital, Iraq, 10th Combat Support Hospital, Kuwait, Orthopedic Unit, Brook Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Family Practice Clinic, Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia, and Newborn Nursery, 97th General Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany. She served as Pediatric Nursing Instructor, Deputy Director of the Practical Nurse Branch, and Chief Nurse 41st Combat Support Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She served as the Nurse Educator and Chief of Nursing Operation at Brook Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and Assistant Chief Nurse, 41st Combat Support Hospital, Bosnia. More recent assignments include Chief Nursing Administration, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Deputy Commander, Warrior Transition Unit, Fort Knox, Kentucky and Deputy Commander for Nursing, 21st Combat Support Hospital.

COL Wilcher’s awards and ribbons include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd oak leaf cluster), the Army Commendation Medal (3rd oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (2nd oak leaf cluster), the National Defense Service Medal (2 bronze stars), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
