The YES Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, provides scholarships for high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to study for one academic year in the U.S. YES participants live with a host family, attend an American high school, and engage in activities to learn about U.S. society. They also help educate Americans about their home country and culture. YES participants serve as “youth ambassadors” of their home country, promoting mutual understanding by forming lasting relationships with their host families and communities.
In Malaysia, the YES Program is managed by AFS Antarabudaya Malaysia in partnership with the Embassy.

February 11 is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This year, on the second annual #WomenScienceDay, we recognize the critical role women and girls play in science and technology communities.
Via Univision, we share the inspiring stories of Aisha from Mexico, Anely from Peru, Camila from Chile, and Jasmin from the United States. The girls participated in a Women in Science (WiSci) camp for girls to learn about the science, technology, engineering, art and de...sign, and mathematics (STEAM) fields.
