    The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM) and the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur are pleased to present – “Ann Dunham’s Legacy: A Collection of Indonesian Batiks,” an exhibition that will showcase 20 batiks from the private collection of Ann Dunham, President Obama’s mother. The exhibition will be on display at the IAMM from June 8 - July 20, 2012.

    Legal Aspects of Border Security Seminar

    The Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) organized a regional seminar titled “Legal Aspects of Border Security in a Maritime Environment” from 17 – 20 August 2009 at the Renaissance Hotel in Malacca. The seminar was co-hosted by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and facilitated by subject matter experts from the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS).

    U.S.-Malaysian Tabletop Exercise on Pandemic Influenza

    The United States Pacific Command and the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) jointly organized a two-and-half-day pandemic influenza tabletop exercise from March 11-13, 2009 at MOH headquarters. Embassy Kuala Lumpur’s Medical Officer, Environment Science Technology and Health Officer, and staff from the Office of Defense Cooperation were also there as observers.
