U.S. Embassy Presents Books to Barbados Association of Reading

D-PAO Rachael Zaspel presents Special Education Books to Christina Morris of the Barbados Association of Reading

The United States Embassy continued its commitment to education in Barbados when it presented a set of books to the Barbados Association of Reading to be used for special education teaching.

The donation is a direct follow up to a program held earlier this year when the Embassy partnered with the Reading Association to bring American special education expert Dr. Vicky Spencer to Barbados for two weeks to work with teachers and students. Dr. Spencer came to Barbados as part of the Fulbright American Specialist program.

 The books will be used by the Reading Association as resource material for primary and secondary school teachers who teach children with special needs.
