Federal Benefits Hours are Monday - Friday, 1-3pm by appointment ONLY. Appointments can be made by call 622-6371 and speaking with someone in American Citizen Services.

Please e-mail or call the American Citizen Services section for assistance with the following Federal Benefit issues:

  • Non-receipt of benefit payments (Please specify paying agency, for example: Social Security, OPM, VA, CSA etc.).
  • Update on new application for benefits submitted previously. 

Services by Appointment ONLY:

  • Change of address
  • Transfer of benefit payments from U.S. to Trinidad (Direct Deposit)
  • Letter request for Social Welfare
  • Transfer of benefits directly to the bank (Direct Deposit)
  • Apply for benefits (Retirement, Widow/ Widower, Disability etc.)
The following is required in ALL CASES:
  • Valid Photo Identification(s)
  • Proof of Citizenship
  • Social Security Number(s)

FIRST TIME Social Security benefit applicants must also bring:

  • Original Birth Certificate(s)
  • Marriage Certificate(s)
  • Divorce Certificate(s)
  • Death Certificate(s)

Walk-in Service Available for the following services ONLY:

  • Federal Benefits check pick-up
  • Pick-up of letter for Trinidadian Social Welfare
