Non-Immigrant Visas are required for anyone traveling to the United States temporarily who does not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program. Nonimmigrant visas cover visits for tourism, business, work or study. If you already know which type of visa you require APPLY NOW.

Additional information regarding Student Visas (F1 or M1):
- Applicants must first be offered admission to a school in the United States before applying for the student visa.
- The school must issue the student a completed I-20 form called a “Certificate of Eligibility”.
- The sponsoring educational institution must electronically register the student in the SEVIS system.
- The student must provide evidence of sufficient funds to cover the costs of studying in the United States.
- Students wishing to attend U.S. public schools must include a receipt from the school showing they have paid all tuition costs. Current law permits students to attend only one year of senior public high school.
- PLEASE BRING TO THE INTERVIEW: Original I-20 and proof of Sevis payment.
Additional information regarding Business (B1) and Tourist (B2) Visas:
- An individual in possession of a multiple entry un-expired B-1/B-2 visa in an expired passport can still use that visa as long as the current passport is of the same nationality and name as the expired passport.
- The consular section advises travelers not to purchase tickets to the United States until they have received their visas.
Additional information regarding Temporary Work Visas (H), (L):
- All temporary work visas are for specific positions in the United States and require prearranged employment.
- Holders of work visas cannot change employers or positions without approval from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
- *Employers filing a petition for H1-B and L visa applicants are charged a supplementary fee of 500 USD, to be collected in the United States.
- **An additional fee of 500 USD will be charged to the principal applicant for a Blanket L visa and will be collected at the consulate during the interview. Payment for this supplemental fee is by cash or credit card only.
Additional information regarding Exchange Visitor Visas (J1):
- The prospective exchange visitor must first obtain form DS-2019 from a designated sponsor for submission with the printed confirmation page of the online application.
- The sponsoring institution must electronically register the exchange visitor in the SEVIS system.
