American food organizations say Namaste to India

New Delhi -- High quality food and agricultural products from the United States are on display at the U.S. Pavilion of the “International Food & Drink Expo India 2009 in New Delhi, December 2-4, 2009.

Leading U.S. food industry organizations such as the California Prune Board, California Table Grape Commission, Pear Bureau Northwest, Washington Apple Commission, Southern United States Trade Association, Food Export Association of the Midwest USA, and Food Export USA North East are participating in the U.S. Pavilion, showcasing a wide range of food offerings including grapes, pistachios, prunes and apples, and processed and consumer food products from the southern, mid-western and northeastern United States.

The United States is bringing to India its highest quality and most delicious food products. The U.S. business relationship with India and partnership with Indian importers, distributors, hospitality industry groups is helping to create and insure economic opportunities for the citizens of both countries.

The cooperation between the United States and India in the fields of food and agriculture is one of the key elements of the U.S.-India strategic partnership which encompasses all fields of human endeavor. Together, the United States and India are focused on sustainable growth of the global economy for the 21st century to benefit their citizens and to create jobs in both countries.
