General Information

General information regarding Federal Benefits is available to all visitors. The Federal Benefits Unit accepts applications for Social Security, Railroad, Veterans Administration and Office of Personnel Management benefits for residents of the states of Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Durango, Sonora and Baja California Norte.

The Federal Benefits Unit has outreach/contact stations once a month at the US Consulates in Tijuana and Monterrey and at City Hall (Oficina de Atención Ciudadana) in Mexicali. Applicants are accepted on a walk-in basis, but if you wish to make an appointment, please call the number listed above.
