Cardiology and Vascular Medicine

About:

Doctor and patient in a cardiology procedure room

Cardiology provides diagnosis and management for patients with a variety of heart disorders, such as coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and more.

Vascular Medicine provides diagnosis and management of peripheral vascular disease and structural heart disease. This includes atherosclerosis of the legs (peripheral artery disease), neck (carotid) arteries, kidney arteries and other arteries beyond the heart.  We also treat venous disease and inflammatory vascular disease.

We evaluate and treat patients from throughout New England, and operate several outpatient clinics to fit specific needs. In addition, we provide pre-operative assessments and also care for patients at risk for heart illnesses who may not yet show symptoms.

Our teams consist of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other specialists. All of our services are available by consult only.

Some of our more common treatments include:

   • Medication
   • Implantable devices, such as pacemakers and defibrillators
   • Minimally invasive procedures that are directed at the specific portion of the heart causing the abnormal heartbeats
