Regional English Language Office
The Regional English Language Office (RELO) supports the mission of the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy to promote mutual understanding between people through its informational, educational and cultural programs.
In support of the mission, the RELO offers professional development and educational exchange programs for English language trainers, teachers and students in coordination with Ministry of Education, Binational Centers, and teachers' organizations throughout the region.
The Regional English Language Office in Brazil is one of 21 such offices around the world (coordinated by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Office of English Language Programs).

The English Access Microscholarship Program
The English Access Microscholarship Program provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, underserved, 14 - 18 year old students through after school classes and intensive summer learning activities

E-Teacher Scholarship Program
The E-Teacher Scholarship Program offers online, graduate level classes to English teaching professionals around the world through the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the University of Oregon. Applications are accepted in June each year. Application Form »

The English Language Fellow Program
The English Language Fellow Program brings U.S. educators in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) on ten-month fellowships to Brazil. For information on hosting a Fellow, please contact RELOBrazil@state.gov

English Language Specialist Program
