The United States Embassy in Nassau provides consular services to American citizens who are temporary visitors or permanent residents in The Bahamas or the Turks and Caicos Islands. The American Citizens Services (ACS) office is here to help with U.S. passports, federal benefits, and other specialized consular services. Hours and Appointments
Non-emergency services for American citizens are by appointment only. Please see information on how to schedule an appointment. Note that the Embassy will be closed on all official Bahamian and American holidays.
Hours for Services:
Monday: 9am - 11am & 1pm - 3pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 9am - 11am & 1pm - 3pm
Friday: 9am -11am

Location
The Consular Section of the Embassy is located at 42 Queen Street in Nassau, just off of Marlborough Street and across from the British Colonial Hilton Hotel.
Emergencies:
In cases of emergencies involving the death, injury, arrest or welfare of an American citizen in The Bahamas or the Turks and Caicos Islands, please call (242) 328 3496 or 322-1181 ext. 4406, 4547, 4584 during business hours; or afterhours please call(242) 322-1181 ext. 9.
Please note that the Duty Officer who answers this number will not be able to assist with visa or routine passport matters.
