New Markets, New Jobs: The National Export Initiative Small Business Tour
by GSI Staff April 11, 2011
The Obama administration has launched the "New Markets, New Jobs" national outreach effort and tour to help small- and medium-sized businesses that want to break into new markets overseas. In addition to hearing from Cabinet-level officials about resources available at the federal, state and local levels, these events will feature expert panels on targeted export topics, including export financing, expanding access to foreign markets, and protecting intellectual property rights. One-on-one export counseling for business owners who want to learn more about exporting will also be available. Trade experts from federal agencies will share with audience members information about the spectrum of federal resources available to help begin exporting or expand their exports. Panels will include representatives from each agency as well as representatives from companies that have utilized federal resources to expand their exports.
