  • November 12, 2012. NEW! Addition of More TDWR-SPG Sites Sending Rapid Scan Update Products. Reference NWS TIN 12-13, the NWS is working to have most/the rest of the 34 remaining TDWR-SPG sites sending the TDWR VCP80 Rapid Scan Update Products before the spring 2013 convective season. With the Dual Polarization data being added to the radar data stream much coordination is taking place ensure we don't run out of server and/or site bandwidth. Sorry to not be able to be more specific at this time.

  • July 9, 2012. New CODE Version Available. The latest Common Operations and Development Environment (CODE) software B13.0r1.6 is now available on the CODE web page: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/code88D/.
  • Click here to view the Initial System Differential Phase (ISDP) Offset/Correction, st22 document (PDF) which discusses the ISDP calibration and potential impacts to products if this calibration is incorrect.
  • RDA BUILD 13 WILL RESTORE CMD and AVSET. When a WSR-88D is retrofitted to Dual Polarization, one down side is the site will not have the Clutter Mitigation and Detection (CMD) or Automated Volume Scan Evaluation and Termination (AVSET) functionality. These functions will be restored in RDA Build 13.0, scheduled for deployment in August 2012. Click here for the Dual Pol deployment schedule.
