LPC Focus Areas

Enterprise Total Life Cycle Management Common Operating Picture (E-TLCM-COP)

E-TLCM-COP is a digital dashboard to display the status of equipment at various stages of the life cycle. E-TLCM-COP will be designated as the single strategic information source for Headquarters Marine Corps Executive Leadership to view status of weapon systems and equipment to answer Congressional Testimony, address Principal End Item Rotation, crossing leveling of equipment, and correlate funding to equipment fielding and readiness. Finally, E-TLCM-COP would identify disparate data in legacy systems and assist the Enterprise in identifying conflicting processes that may result in inefficiency.

Logistics Advocacy Process

Logistics Advocacy Process is a three-tiered process designed to accelerate the identification, prioritization, and advocacy process for critical logistical issues facing the operating forces, resulting in a comprehensive, coherent, and closely evaluated set of requirements that will best serve the interests of the Logistics Combat Element community at large.

  • Council of Colonels – Tier I consists of a Counsel of Colonels at each MEF. Normally, Tier I groups will convene during 2nd qtr of the fiscal year and will address logistics issues across the MAGTF. In a closed forum, the council of colonels will identify various logistics capabilities, deficiencies, and related issues that pertain to future warfighting concepts. Members will develop positions on each issue and provide recommended solutions and alternatives to Tier II.
  • Logistics Combat Element Operational Advisory Group (LCE OAG) – Tier II is the LCE OAG, a council of colonels chartered by DC, I&L, comprised of membership from DC, I&L (LPC chair), Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Logistics Command, Medical officer of the Marine Corps, and the MARFOR G-4s. The LCE OAG will consider strategic initiatives, compare and eliminate redundant requirements, and prioritize remaining requirements for submission to Tier III, the Logistics Senior Leader Forum.
  • Logistics Senior Leader Forum (LSLF) – Tier III is the LSLF. This board, consisting of general officers, validates and votes on the prioritized list of issues/capability shortfalls submitted by the LCE OAG, to shape logistics policy per the Commandant’s guidance, prioritize logistics requirements and capabilities, and eliminate redundancy among competing interests and programs.
Ground Logistics Award Dinner

The Ground Logistics Awards Dinner is hosted annually by the DC, I&L, and the Marine Corps Association. It’s designed to recognize the outstanding logistics achievements of individual and civilian Marines, as well as Marine logistics units, organizations and teams. This event also serves as a forum to address key issues pertaining to logistics support of the Marine Air Ground Task Force.

Joint Regional Inventory Material Management (JRIMM)

The JRIMM initiative is designed to decrease customer wait time, minimize material handling and eliminate duplicate inventory. The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) has tasked DLA as the lead agent for implementing JRIMM at CONUS and OCONUS camp/base/post/station and industrial sites. DLA will collaborate with the services to develop by-service and by-region detailed business plans. These business plans will address policy, processes, financials, and IT system interfaces to facilitate JRIMM implementation.

Enterprise Equipment Accountability

Enterprise Equipment Accountability is a Marine Corps-wide initiative to improve and standardize visibility, accountability and accuracy of where and now much equipment is on hand across the Marine Corps.
