SgtMaj Rodolfo G. SarinoOn 22 August 1985, Sergeant Major Sarino reported for training to 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Parris Island, SC. After completion of Recruit Training, Sergeant Major Sarino received subsequent orders to Fort Sill, OK for follow on training. After Fort Sill, Sergeant Major Sarino reported to 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC for duty with the 10th Marine Regiment. During his tour with 10th Marines Sergeant Major Sarino completed a deployment to the Mediterranean AOR with the 26th Marine Amphibious Unit (MAU).

In January 1989, Sergeant Major Sarino was re-assigned to Marine Corps Security Forces, Atlantic. He executed orders to MCSF Company, Brunswick, ME serving as part of the guard force aboard NAS Brunswick, ME. After completing a successful tour, Sergeant Major Sarino returned to the Fleet Marine Force in the summer of 1992 with orders to the 3rd Marine Division, Kaneohe Bay, HI for duty with the 12th Marine Regiment where Sergeant Major Sarino completed a unit deployment to Okinawa, Japan.

In the spring of 1994, Sergeant Major Sarino received orders to MCRD San Diego, CA as a Drill Instructor Student. He graduated from Drill Instructor School that summer and reported for duty with 2nd Recruit Training Battalion. Sergeant Major Sarino completed 13 cycles training both Marine Privates and Drill Instructor Students in Support Battalion until the summer of 1997.

Sergeant Major Sarino returned to Marine Forces Pacific for duty with the 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA. He was assigned to the 11th Marine Regiment completing a deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit(SOC). After a short tour with 1st Marine Division in 1999, Sergeant Major Sarino was reassigned to the Inspector-Instructor Staff Spokane, WA, 4th Marine Division. His responsibilities included training members of the Selected Marine Corps Reserve for possible deployments. In the summer of 2002, Sergeant Major Sarino received orders back to 1st Marine Division, 11th Marine Regiment deploying to Operation Iraqi Freedom from February to May of 2003.

In January 2004, Sergeant Major Sarino requested orders to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Camp Pendleton, CA. Sergeant Major Sarino participated in a unit deployment to Okinawa, Japan with his company that summer and was subsequently directed to support the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit for Operation Iraqi Freedom II from September 2004 to February 2005.

Upon return from Iraq, Sergeant Major Sarino was re-assigned to Inspector-Instructor Staff Anchorage, AK, 4th Marine Division to train Selected Marine Corps Reserve Reconnaissance and Anti-Terrorism Marines for deployments in support of the Global War on Terror.

Sergeant Major Sarino was promoted to his current rank in June of 2007 and was re-assigned back to Camp Pendleton, CA for duties with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267, 3D Marine Aircraft Wing as Squadron Sergeant Major. In the spring of 2009, Sergeant Major Sarino requested orders for deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom and was assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 deploying to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of OEF 10.2 from May 2010 to December 2010.
