U.S. Citizen Services

Contact Information

Welcome to U.S. Consulate Merida!  The Consulate in Merida services the three Mexican states of Yucatan, Quintana Roo and Campeche.  Merida is a full-service Consulate staffed by consular officers.

Consular Agencies are located in the cities of Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, and Cozumel, Quintana Roo.  Consular Agencies mainly handle emergency U.S. citizen services.  Please note Consular Agencies do not process visas and cannot answer visa questions.

Most services provided by the Merida U.S. Citizen Services Unit require an appointment.  Please click here for more information about the appointment system.  The Consulate and Consular Agencies are open all regular working days except for American and Mexican holidays.

Appointment schedules apply only to routine, non-emergency services.  U.S. citizens in need of emergency services may still come to the Merida Consulate during normal working hours (7:30am to 4:30pm) without an appointment.
