Mission Statement

America's purpose in Rwanda is to help create the political, economic and social conditions that will lead to the development of a prosperous civil society that embraces the principles of democratic governance and respect for human rights.

To achieve these goals, we will design and implement a variety of political, humanitarian, economic, and military assistance programs that support U.S. interests in aiding Rwanda's transition to sustainable development while securing regional peace and stability in Africa's Great Lakes Region.

We invite you to learn about the mission and activities of the U.S. Mission to RWANDA. Our pages include descriptions of the principal Mission services and policies, and a wealth of information on the United States. We have also included links to other Internet sites, research institutions and government agencies so that our page provides a window to the world.

We believe that our pages will be a welcome addition to the public affairs resources available in RWANDA. We hope that you will explore our pages and return often as our home page grows to meet your needs. If you have any questions or comments, please address them to: ConsularKigali@state.gov , or directly to the appropriate embassy section.
