Welcome to American Citizen Services
The American, or U.S. Citizen Services (ACS) Unit’s assistance includes but is not limited to, Passport services, Notary services, and Consular Reports of Births Abroad. The Consulate General also assists in emergencies, including deaths, arrests and crisis situations.
Our services are available by appointment or by mail
All of our American citizen services requiring your presence at the Consulate, are available by appointment only. Appointment slots will be scheduled daily from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM. You will find a link to the appointment website in each service's step-by-step instruction.
Note however, that we also provide services by mail. Check out our passport services by mail pages.

The ACS Unit will not be able to answer questions about visas.

Contact Information and hours of operation for the Amsterdam U.S. Citizen Services Unit:
Monday through Friday 8:30 to 11:30 visits for services are by appointment only. Every instructions page has a link to the appointment website.
Passport pick-up: Monday through Friday 8:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:30 to 3:30. No appointment necessary.
No FEAR act
