• October 19, 2016 — Newly elected to the IANA Board for a three-year term, effective January 1, 2017, are Jason M. Hess of Union Pacific Railroad — At-Large seat; and Jon Poelma of Consolidated Chassis Management, LLC — Supplier Division seat. Re-elected for a three-year term are Adriene B. Bailey of Yusen Logistics (Americas) — At-Large seat; Robert A. Curry, Jr. of California Multimodal, LLC — Motor Carrier Division seat; and Dean M. Piacente of CSX Transportation — Rail Division seat.
• October 14, 2016 — The Department of Commerce corrected its preliminary anti-dumping tariff rates on Chinese-manufactured truck and bus tires. The new rate is 30.36 percent. See the Federal Register Notice.
• September 23 — In response to IANA’s limited joinder filing with the U.S, District Bankruptcy Court, Hanjin advised that it would not assess per diem charges on containers or chassis when Motor Carriers’ attempts to return equipment are denied.
