IRC Director Presents Books to Fourah Bay College Library (University of Sierra Leone) American Shelf Program – July 18, 2012

On Wednesday, July 18, 2012, the IRC Director James Taylor presented 148 books and 28 magazines in a variety of subject areas to the “American Shelf” at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.  This book donation reinforced the Public Affairs Section’s ties with students and educators at Fourah Bay College, in line with Mission goal of promoting expanded access to information and quality education.

The American Shelf program at FBC was initiated in 2007 and the FBC library has benefitted from several donations since.  The IRC also donates copies of periodicals and magazines monthly to the Library
