Message from the Commercial Section

Welcome to the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy in Oman, dedicated to creating closer commercial ties and increasing trade and investment between Oman and the United States through various services, programs, and events.

We offer business facilitation and referrals as well as some fee-based services such as international company profile due diligence reports, international partner searches, and Gold Key introduction services. We also advocate for a level playing field for U.S. businesses. Our main tool in achieving these goals is the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement, which provides 

• Elimination of most tariff and nontariff barriers.
• Expedited movement of goods and the provision of services.
• Strengthened protections for investors, including allowing them to fully own a business without a local partner.
• Enhanced intellectual property right protections, labor and environmental standards, and dispute settlement procedures to improve the regulatory climate for bilateral trade and investment.
