The Center for the Study of National Reconnaissance manages the NRO artifact and exhibits program that showcases engineering contributions to national reconnaissance. In addition, CSNR executes the NRO legacy recognition programs that highlight pioneering contributions and indentifies models of excellence that inspire today's NRO workforce.

The Pioneer Recognition Program aims to honor individuals who were part of the world-class national reconnaissance workforce: those who personified the values of integrity, excellence, and innovation while making significant and lasting contrbutions to the discipline and practice of national reconnaissance. The Director of the NRO recognizes those honorees every year at the Pioneer Recognition Ceremony.
