Ambassador Jacobson congratulates Chinese community on Chinatown Centennial

Ambassador David Jacobson and Consul General Laura Lochman visited the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre to congratulate the community on Chinatown’s centennial anniversary. The stop marked Ambassador Jacobson’s first official meet and greet with Calgary’s Chinese community. While at the Centre, Ambassador Jacobson took tour of the facilities and attended a luncheon with members of the Centre’s board and representatives from more than a dozen Chinese community organizations. Ambassador Jacobson praised the contributions Chinese Canadians have made to every aspect of society and congratulated the community its 100th anniversary, “May you continue to prosper and grow,” he told the group.
