About Bath VAMC

The Bath VA Medical Center, part of VA Health Care Upstate New York (VISN 2) is located in the Southern Tier of New York State. The Medical Center serves Veterans in Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates counties in NY, as well as Veterans in Tioga and Potter counties in Pennsylvania.

The Medical Center, founded in 1878 as a Grand Army of the Republic Soldiers and Sailors Home has proudly served Veterans for more than 130 years. The facility provides a full range of patient care services, including:
The Bath VA also provides primary and mental health care through community based outpatient clinics in Elmira and Wellsville, New York.

A national cemetery with roots dating back to the Civil War is also located on the Medical Center grounds. There are five Medal of Honor recipients interred at Bath National Cemetery, as well as 28 soldiers from the War of 1812, and a large number of Union Soldiers from the Civil War. Bath National Cemetery also maintains Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, New York.

The Medical Center has active educational affiliations with: Albany College of Pharmacy, Alfred State College, Corning Community College, Creighton University, Elmira College, Keuka College, Nazareth College, New York Chiropractic College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. James School of Radiography, State University of New York at Buffalo, Tufts University, University of Rochester, and Walden University.

About Bath, New York
Bath is located in the Conhocton Valley in central Steuben County, New York. The area is host to many leisure activities including camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, arts and crafts festivals, wineries, the Corning Museum of Glass, Watkins Glen NASCAR and Indy car races, and water activities on Keuka Lake. Corning, Elmira and Rochester are all within a one hour drive, providing convenient access to metropolitan activities such as sporting events, museums and theatres.
