Pamela D. Hansen Hargan

Pamela D. Hansen Hargan is Vice President of Human Resources and Communications at Sandia Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Sandia Corporation manages and operates Sandia National Laboratories, a multi-program Department of Energy laboratory, under contract with the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. Pam is responsible for the leadership and labs-wide management of human resources, health, benefits, and employee services. Pam is also responsible for Sandia’s communication efforts which include planning, strategy, executive communications, media relations, external branding, community affairs and internal communications.

Most recently, she led Workforce Strategy and Planning for Lockheed Martin. Prior to this, she was the vice president, Human Resources for Integrated Systems & Solutions (IS&S) and
with the formation of Information Systems & Global Services (IS&GS) in February, 2007, she became the deputy vice president, Human Resources, IS&GS and also assumed the role of vice president, Strategic Workforce Planning for Lockheed Martin. She has also led the HR function for Electronic Systems MS2 company, Space Systems Astronautics and M&DS companies. She joined Lockheed Martin in April 1990.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Pam held increasingly higher-ranking Human Resources positions with Chrysler Corporation, General Dynamics, and Systems Research & Applications, International, Inc. Her experience covers a full range of Human Resources functions including staffing, compensation, training, organizational effectiveness and organizational design, and Human Resources information systems. In addition to her Human Resources experience, she has worked for a small lobbyist group in Washington, D.C.

Pam obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the State university of New York and studied Psychology at Western Illinois University. She holds a master’s degree in Executive Management Human Resources Leadership from Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Pam most recently served on the Board of Directors of Virtua Health and Junior Achievement of New Jersey. While in Denver, she served on the Board of Directors for the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, the Urban League of Denver and the Labor Community Agency of Denver. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Human Capital Institute (HCI), University of Pennsylvania Wharton Human Resources Advisory Group, and the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD).
