Chief Warrant Officer Five McCullen is a native of Granville, N.Y., and a graduate of the University of Maryland-University College (European Division). He entered military service in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1988, then attended the Military Police (MP) One Station Unit Training (OSUT) School at Fort McClellan, Alabama, before entering active duty in 1990.
His previous duty assignments include Operations Officer and Forensic Science Officer, Headquarters, 5th Military Police Battalion (CID) Kaiserslautern, Germany, and Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq, and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; Forensic Science Officer, Headquarters, 10th Military Police Battalion (CID), Ft Bragg, N.C., and Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq; Detachment Commander, 75th Military Police Detachment CID, Balad Airbase, Iraq; Special Agent in Charge, Hanau Resident Agency CID, Germany; Team Chief, Darmstadt Resident Agency CID, Germany; Team Chief, Camp Humphreys Resident Agency CID and Camp Casey Resident Agency CID, Korea; Special Agent, Fort Meade Resident Agency CID, Md.; and Military Policeman/drug suppression team member, Karlsruhe Resident Agency CID, Germany .
His military education includes the Warrant Officer Staff Course, Warrant Officer Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Basic Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Protective Services Training Course, Child Abuse Prevention and Investigative Techniques Course, Apprentice Special Agent Course, Military Police Investigations Course, and Basic Airborne Course.
His civilian law enforcement education includes graduating from the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Va., and the Major Case Management Course at the Canadian Police College in Ottawa, Canada.
CW5 McCullen holds a Masters of Forensic Science degree from The George Washington University. He completed an Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Fellowship in Medicolegal Death Investigations and is an associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Science.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal (2OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Joint Service Commendation Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6OLC), Parachutist Badge, and the Iraq Campaign Medal.
