How Can I Check Up on the Application Once I Registered?
After 24 hours you will be able to check the status of your application using one of the methods below.
Online: DisasterAssistance.gov
By Phone: 1-800-621-3362 / TTY 1-800-462-7585
In Person: Visit a Disaster Recovery Center

If you do not wait 24 hours you may not see your registration. This does not mean you are not registered. It may simply mean that your registration has not been processed yet. Registering more than once will result in a delay of your application.
Okay, I'm registered, what next?
- FEMA will mail you a copy of
- Your application
- An applicants guide that will answer many of your questions
- Declaration and Release Form (Need to provide to the inspector)
- An inspector will contact you.
