Since 1932, Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center has been improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation. We consider it our privilege to serve your health care needs in any way we can. Services are available to more than 196,000 veterans living in a 45-county area of Indiana and Illinois.
Community-Based Outpatient Clinics
The medical center operates three Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC’s) located in Bloomington, Martinsville, and Terre Haute, Indiana. The more than 58,000 patients (3,500 women Veterans) treated by the Indianapolis VA Medical Center require over 584,000 outpatient visits and almost 8,500 inpatient episodes of care yearly.

The five Core Values define “who we are,” our culture and how we care for Veterans, their families and other beneficiaries. The Values are Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect and Excellence (“I CARE”). The Core Characteristics define “what we stand for,” and help guide how we will perform our core mission; they shape our strategy, and will influence resource allocation and other important decisions made within VA. The Characteristics are Trustworthy, Accessible, Quality, Agile, Innovative, and Integrated.
