About the Embassy
Mission Overview
The United States Embassy in Port Moresby supports American citizens, promotes United States' interests and develops friendly, cooperative relations with the peoples and governments of Papua New Guinea (PNG), Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Through these contacts, we seek to develop broad-based relationships with all three countries that reflect our common commitment to democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
Regular office hours are Monday to Friday from 07:45 to 16:30. The Embassy is closed for all official Papua New Guinea and U.S. National holidays.
