Passport and Citizenship
You may now fill out passport applications online. Note that mailing options are only available in the United States and that you must still show up in person to the US Embassy or Consulate General in order to submit your application.
Passport Services for Adults and Minors
Passport Services are available at the Embassy's American Citizens Services Section from 1:00pm to 3:30pm, Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. (CLOSED ON MONDAYS) Appointments are required for routine passport services. Click here to make an appointment.
At this time, all applicants must apply for a passport in person.
The Consular Section receives passport applications and sends them electronically to the U.S. for processing. Most passports are returned from the U.S. within two weeks. To avoid delays, we ask that American citizens renew their passports in a timely manner, at least two or three months before the passport is due to expire.
Fees
First time application for a 10 year passport: $135 (513 SAR)
Passport application for a minor aged under 16: $105 (399 SAR)
Renewal of a 10 year passport: $110 (418 SAR)
Fees must be paid in either U.S. dollars or Saudi Arabian Riyals. The Consular Section cannot accept checks or credit cards.
