E-Teacher Scholarship Program
The E-Teacher Scholarship Program courses explore major areas of the academic specialty of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The program offers seven innovative, online, graduate level classes to English teaching professionals in Indonesia through two U.S. universities, the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the University of Oregon.
- Building Teaching Skills through the Interactive Web (Web Skills)
- Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL)
- Critical Thinking in Language Learning and Teaching (CT)
- Assessment: Summative and Formative Practices in Language Learning and Teaching (Assessment)
- English for Specific Purposes, Best Practice for Courses and Materials (ESP)
- Introduction to Pedagogy and Practices for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL Methods)
- Special Education and Differentiated Instruction in an EFL Context (SpEd TEFL)
- Practical Applications in Listening and Speaking Skills (PALSS)
- Introduction to Online Learning for EFL Educators (Online Learning 5 weeks)

Requirements
Candidates should be highly
motivated teachers, teacher trainers or ministry officials who are both
dedicated to their own professional development and willing to share their
knowledge with colleagues. Qualified candidates should have:
- The ability to complete academic work at a U.S. university level (an advanced level of reading and writing in English, roughly equivalent to a TOEFL score of 525).
- An understanding of English technical terms relating to computers and the Internet.
- Consistent and reliable access to the Internet.
- A familiarity with Windows, the Internet and web browsers.
- The ability to create a Word document.
- The ability to type in English well enough to perform online tasks in real-time and submit written assignments in a timely manner.
